Texas isn’t one market. A retail business in Plano faces
different logistics than an energy company operating out of the
Permian Basin, and a healthcare provider near the Texas Medical
Center in Houston has different compliance needs than a fintech
startup in Austin. Texas’s business-friendly climate,
including no state income tax, has drawn companies of every size
to relocate or expand here, which means more competition for
customer attention in nearly every industry.
Android holds a large share of the mobile market across
Texas’s price-conscious and rapidly growing suburban
markets, while iOS remains strong among the state’s tech
and finance sector employees, particularly in Austin and Dallas.
A Texas business that only builds for one platform, or builds
from a generic template, is leaving real customers and real
revenue on the table.
